STYLUS PHOTO 2200P
Re-Defining Professional Photographic Printing
Epson’s fastest, sleekest and most impressive desktop photo printer ever -- the
Stylus Photo 2200 is ideal for anyone who is serious about photography, rang-
ing from amateurs to professional portrait, commercial and fine art photog-
raphers. A successor to the award-winning Stylus Photo 2000P, the Stylus
Photo 2200 uses Epson's new seven-color UltraChrome inks, allowing it to
print images faster and with a larger color gamut than before. These
unique pigment-based archival inks reproduce the color range, density and
saturation of dye-based inks making the Stylus Photo 2200 the best in its
class with its photo and color quality, and superior fade-resistance.
A new generation of pigment ink, UltraChrome Ink retains the advan-
tages of high resistance to water and light, plus has a wide color gamut that
is extremely close to the gamut of the popular six-color, dye-based Epson inks with more vibrant and saturated reds,
oranges and yellows. This Stylus Photo 2200 can also print stunning black and white photos with the addition of a new
lower density black ink—Light Black—which helps produce more neutral grays.
The UltraChrome ink has very fast print and dry times enabling the printer to achieve a print speed of four minutes for an
8" x 10" photo on glossy paper—three times faster than the Stylus Photo 2000P.
Encased in a sleek, black and silver case, the ultra-quiet Stylus Photo 2200 offers up to 2880 x 1440 dpi using ultra small
four-picoliter droplets—equivalent to a two-picoliter dye-based droplet. The 2200 also uses Epson's exclusive Micro Piezo
ink jet technology to create incredible detail, beautiful skin tones and an ultra-wide color range that is ideal for photography.
