Cause
• Protocol signal abnormality.
Countermeasure
• Record the communication procedure
sound on DAT and analyze it.

Cause
• Protocol signal abnormality.
Countermeasure
• Record the communication procedure
sound on DAT and analyze it.
##0290 [TX] Signal other than PIN, PIP, MCF, RTP, RTN received after MPS output at time of
transmission
Cause
• Internal unit fault.
Countermeasure
(1) Check if the fixing assembly is properly
installed in the printer unit.
(2) Remove the fixing assembly and check
the resistance values in the fixing assem-
bly connector terminals.
When room temperature is 20°C
J161 (AC side)
between 1P and 3P: 18Ω ± 7%
between 2P and 3P: 18Ω ± 7%
J161 (DC side)
between 1P and 2P: approx. 1755Ω
When the resistance values are off,
replace the fixing assembly.
(3) Replace the DC controller PCB.
