4) The copier’s scanner starts copying operation.

5) When the copier’s scanner starts to move in reverse, the feeding belt is rotated to move
the 1st original in the delivery direction.
At the same time, the 2nd original is picked up.

6) The 1st and the 2nd originals are moved by the feeding belt; the feeding belt is rotated
for a specific length after the trailing edge of the 2nd original has moved past the pre-
registration roller paper sensor (S2) to determine the stop position for the 2nd original.
The 1st original is delivered by the delivery roller.
