Connecting the Camera to a Computer
Selecting a Connection Method
The following different interfaces and methods can be used to connect the camera to a
computer. Once a connection has been established using one of the methods, you can
start the software and begin to load images from the camera (➜ p. 18, 42).
Use the AC Adapter
• We suggest that you use the AC adapter while the camera is connected to a
computer to conserve battery power.
USB Port (➜ p. 9)
The USB interface can start the image loading software automatically.
CF Card Reader or PC Card Slot (➜ p. 17)
If you have a computer equipped with a PC card slot, a CF card reader or a PC card
reader, you can place the camera’s CF card into these devices to establish a direct
connection. You will require a PC card adapter for PC card slots.
