Learn to take control of your photography. The EOS 700D
lets you adjust every aspect of the camera’s performance,
so you can create exactly the image you want.
Taking your next creative steps
Creative shooting modes
Graduate to the EOS 700D’s creative
shooting modes and enjoy full control over
every aspect of the picture-taking process.
Choose aperture-priority (Av) mode to
specify the lens aperture used while
shooting. This dictates how much of
the scene will appear in focus – what
photographers call depth of field. Or
why not try shutter-priority mode (Tv) to
take control over the amount of time the
camera’s shutter stays open. Shutter speed
determines how moving objects appear on
camera: frozen sharp or blurry and moving.
Coping in difficult lighting
Select Handheld Night Scene mode to shoot
at night without using a tripod or flash. The
EOS 700D will record four frames using
shutter speeds fast enough to avoid camera
shake, and combine them to form a single
stunning image.
Use HDR Backlight Control in high-contrast
conditions where a normal photograph
would be either too bight or too dark.
The EOS 700D captures three frames at
different exposures and combines them
to produce a single well-exposed picture –
great for back-lit portraits.
Off-camera flash
See your subject in a new light, using
off-camera flash for new creative
possibilities. An external Canon Speedlite
flashgun can be positioned away from the
camera and triggered remotely using the
EOS 700D’s built-in Speedlite Transmitter.
