Uninstallation Procedure
Uninstalling the Driver
To uninstall the driver, you must first uninstall the [EOS-1D TWAIN Driver] or [EOS-1D WIA
Driver], then remove [EOS-1D] from the [Scanners and Cameras Properties] dialog box or the
[Scanners and Cameras] dialog box, and then delete the driver settings files.
Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional users should log on with [Administrator]
privileges.
To prevent computer malfunctions, always restart your computer after you have uninstalled
the driver. Re-installing the driver without first restarting your computer is particularly likely
to result in computer malfunctions.

Uninstall [EOS-1D TWAIN Driver] or [EOS-1D WIA Driver].
If you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000, click the [Start] button and then
select [Programs] s [Canon Utilities] s [EOS-1D TWAIN Driver] s [TWAIN Driver
Uninstall].
If you are using Windows Me or Windows XP, click the [Start] button and then
select [Programs] ([All Programs] on Windows XP) s [Canon Utilities] s [EOS-1D
WIA Driver] s [WIA Driver Uninstall].

Proceed with the uninstallation as directed by the on-screen
messages.
\ The driver is uninstalled.

Connect the camera to your computer.
When the [Scanner and Camera Wizard] dialog box or the [EOS-1D] dialog box
appears when you are using Windows Me or Windows XP, click the [Cancel] button
to close the displayed dialog box.

Click the [Start] button and then select [Settings] s [Control
Panel].
Windows XP users should click the [Start] button and then click [Control Panel] s
[Printers and Other Hardware].

Double-click the [Scanners and Cameras] icon.
Windows XP users should click the [Scanners and Cameras].
\ If you are using Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000, the [Scanners and Cameras
Properties] dialog box appears. If you are using Windows Me or Windows XP, the
[Scanners and Cameras] dialog box appears.
