DPSM is designed to perform the following functions:
• Print e-mail messages, attachments, and PDF (Portable Document Format), XPS,
TIFF, JPEG, and PPTX files from a supported mobile device.
• Scan hard-copy documents at the machine and send it to your mobile device.
• Manage the Print and Scan settings on a Canon machine from your mobile device,
such as finishing settings, and selecting the paper size and scan resolution.
• Print photos from a photo album stored on your mobile device.
• Print a document from the Web and save it as a PDF.
IMPORTANT
• If you are using an Apple iPhone or iPad that is running iOS 5.x or higher, the System
Administrator must disable SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) communication, or install a
local certificate on the MEAP device so you can connect to the MEAP device. For
instructions, see “Disabling SSL Communication,” on p. 32.
• Prior to using DPSM, the MEAP application must be installed on a MEAP device, the
mobile application must be downloaded to your mobile device, and a Wi-Fi or VPN
connection established. For instructions on installing the MEAP application, see
Chapter 2, “Installing DPSM,” on p. 19.
