Troubleshooting
The software doesn’t run properly.
● Is the preferences file for the software corrupted?
➞ The preferences file for your software may be damaged.
Quit all active programs, delete the [Canon CameraCom Pref] file and the preference
files for the software you are using from the [Preferences] folder, and then restart the
software.
If you are using OS 9, open the [Preferences] folder by double-clicking [System Folder]
s the [Preferences] folder on the startup disk and then delete the target preference files.
If you are using OS X, double-click the startup disk and click the [Home] button. Then
double-click the [Library] folder s [Preferences] to open the [Preferences] folder and
delete the target preference files.
• Canon CameraCom Pref Communications and default settings file shared by all
software programs
• CanonFileViewerUtility Pref Preferences file for FileViewer Utility
• RemoteCapture Pref Preferences file for RemoteCapture
• ImageBrowser Preferences Preferences file for ImageBrowser
