Problem Solution
Camera does not flash or take
picture.
Delete images from the memory card. See
instructions for formatting card on Page 20.
Camera does not flash or take
picture AND/OR a photo is
showing on the screen of the
digital camera.
The camera is in program mode. Press the “playback”
button and turn off.
There is an artifact on all
images captured.
Use the camera “blow brush” to clean the front lens
of the camera.
To initiate camera auto-clean, Press Menu on the
camera back. Using arrow keys, move over to
tab, select [Sensor cleaning: Auto], then
press . The self-cleaning will be performed.
The menu will reappear when process is complete.
Pictures are dark. Shutter speed may have changed.
Pictures are coming out foggy. Check the Objective Lens (#20 in camera diagram on
page 19) for dust. To illuminate the objective lens
turn Lamp Knob(#14 in camera diagram on page 19)
to its highest setting and then press the View
Switching Button (#8 in camera diagram on page 19).
The exposure composition has
changed
Hold down the AV button (top right hand corner of
the display) and then rotate the shutter speed dial.
The Shutter Speed has
changed
Use the Shutter Speed Dial (#6 in camera diagram on
page 20) on the Canon Rebel. As you rotate the
wheel, the numbers will change.
The Shot Setting has changed. Set the Camera Mode Dial (#8 in the diagram on
page 20) to the “M”.
The White Balance has
changed.
Press the button labeled WB (#2 in diagram on page
20), choose “AWB” using the arrows, then press
center “SET” utton.
The Drive Mode setting has
changed.
Press the upper left button (#3 in camera diagram on
page 20) press until single shooting mode is selected.
The Quality has changed. Push the menu button on the left side of the Canon
Rebel screen, on the first menu, first choice is
“Quality” choose.
Images are being saved to
camera.
Push the Menu button (on the left side of the Canon
Rebel screen); on the first menu, go to the “Shoot
without card” option, and select “No.”
