5) Insert the positioning pin into the devel-
oping assembly.
6) Set the process unit case to the copier.
7) Secure the positioning pin in place with
the screw equipped with a spring.
When setting the process unit
case, be sure that the protrusion
on the inside of the flange of the
photosensitive drum is in the
groove in the drum shaft. Fur-
ther, take care not to force the
process unit to avoid damage to
the drum surface.
8) Slide out the transfer unit, and detach
the drum protection sheet [5] in the di-
rection of the arrow. (Be sure to store
away the removed drum protection
sheet.)

Points to Note When Handling
the Drum Protection Sheet
Do not touch the area where
the drum will come into con-
tact.
Put it in a plastic bag, keep-
ing it away from dust, oil, or
the like.
If it must be rolled for stor-
age, be sure the side where
the drum will come into con-
tact will be the inner side.
Before putting it into use, be
sure to dry wipe the area
where the drum will come
into contact with lint-free pa-
per.
