1. Electrostatic latent image formation stage
This stage has two steps which form an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum.
At the end of this stage, negative charge remains in the unexposed dark areas, while negative
charge is removed by the laser beam to form light areas.
Since this image of negative charges on the drum is invisible to eyes, it is called an electro-
static latent image.
