High performance imaging, innovative durable and mechanical design and state of the
art productivity characterize the ArtixScan 4000
T and 4000TF. They feature amazing
scanning speed—they can scan a 35mm image at 4000 dpi in 80 seconds. They
capture exceptional detail in highlight and shadow areas with a maximum density
rating of 3.6 (4000
T) and 4.3 (4000TF) for consistently sharp, true to life scanning
results. For increased productivity and reliability the scanners offer Microtek’s
unique Auto Focus/Auto Advance carriage system, fixed lens design and an innova-
tive media detection system. For fast, easy and flexible media handling they include two
auto advancing batch scanning cartridges, a standard six frame filmstrip holder and a four frame
35mm slide holder. An optional APS film roll cartridge allows automated film batch scanning of up to 40 images per loading.
In addition to its superior density rating, the ArtixScan 4000
TF features higher color bit depth (42-bit vs. 36-bit), incorporates
exclusive Motion Correction Control Technology for precise mechanical steps during scanning and multiple sampling options to
reduce image noise. The ArtixScan 4000
TF also offers a USB and IEEE1394 (Firewire) interface while the ArtixScan 4000T is
equipped with a SCSI-2 interface. Last, the ArtixScan 4000
T is bundled with LaserSoft’s SilverFast SE while the 4000TF steps up
with the full version of LaserSoft’s SilverFast Ai 6.0 with automatic dust and scratch removal (see full description in software
section), adds Adobe Photoshop Elements Genuine Fractals Print Pro and includes a Kodak 35mm Q60 color target. Both also
include Microtek’s ScanWizard Pro 6 TX and MSP Scanner Profile ICC color calibration software.
◆ A 5,300-element CCD provides an optical scanning resolution of
4,000 dpi for crisp images, allowing for greater enlargement with
fantastic detail.
◆ Innovative media detection system removes time consuming step
from the scan process by automatically switching to appropriate
mechanical settings each time the original scan media is changed.
◆ Fully ColorSync-compatible. They include Microtek’s Scanner
Profiler ICC color calibration software for maintaining color fidelity.

ScanWizard Pro 6 TX
◆ Scan images in either native RGB or Lightness Chroma Hue (LCH)
color spaces. More intuitive color tools in the LCH color space
than ever before. Host of setting options for improved productivity.
◆ Define your own auto-clipping and output preferences for specific
color demands. Save all of the white and black point settings in
easy drop-down menus.
◆ Adjust highlights, midtones, and shadows for low and high-bit
images using linear and or curvilinear settings. Save the settings
for use in quick drop-down menus.
◆ Simply scan a portion of your negative stock and create custom
lookup tables in minutes. ScanWizard Pro 6 TX includes lookup
tables for a wide range of negative film. Types from Kodak, Fuji and
Konica are included for high fidelity color scans from negatives.
ArtixScan 4000T Only
◆ Proven SCSI-2 connection for high data transfer rates. Faster scan
times than comparable USB film scanners. Mac/Windows SCSI card
and cable included. On-board SCSI terminator built in.
