This applies particularly to the glass door. It is a good rule, therefore, to insist that children keep away from the oven when it is working.

Electric oven Turn the oven knob to the right (Fig. 1 - Fig. 2). Position 1: oven light, allows the light to be switched on or off as required. As the oven is fitted with a thermostat, the selected temperature will be maintained automatically by turning the knob to the required temperature right up to the maximum on position 2. The light stays on while the oven is working.
Useful advice Advice on the use of the gas burners — To switch the rotisserie motor on, press the button marked with the symbol shown in Fig. 4 — On some models with an electric oven, the rotisserie comes on automatically with the grill when the knob is turned to the corresponding symbol. N.B.: Unscrew the handle from the skewer so that the grip stays cool. Use only cookware that has a flat bottom. Placing small pans on large burners does not aid cooking, it only wastes gas.
To avoid this tedious process, some models can be fitted with special self-cleaning liners. These liners are covered with microporous enamel and are offered as an optional extra. See the section headed «CATALYTIC SELF-CLEANING OVEN». Use detergents and steel pads for both stainless steel and enamelled grids. The finish used on stainless steel grids on the part which comes into contact with the flame does not reduce its effectiveness.
Instruction for the installer Connection The installation of the appliance should only be carried out by a qualified person. Any work on the appliance should be done while it is disconnected from the power supply. For normal operation the installer should follow the relevant national standard. The appliance is thermally insulated (in line with regulation EN) and may GROMMET be installed: next to panels higher than the worktop, for type “Y”, or next to panels not higher than the worktop for type “X”.
Electrical connection Cookers intended for connection to the electrical power supply are designed to work on alternating single phase current. The total power absorbed and further technical data can be found on the plate attached on the side of the oven door (accessed by opening the oven door). The appliance complies with the safety requirements laid down by the standards institutes. Some models come with a bipolar plug with earth connection which ensures that the appliance is fully earthed.
Lubrificating the gas taps Ovens with removable interior If the gas taps become stiff, they should be dismantled, cleaned throughly and smeared with a special grease which is resistant to high temperatures. Follow the instructions below: — Remove the plug from the socket, turn off the tap from the gas supply or cylinder. — Remove the handles and the spacer, removing the two screw from the lower border. — Remove the two screws holding the top flange.
