Congratulations on the purchase of your quality built direct drive, wall exhaust ventilation fan. Used for general exhaust ventilation, these
fans come fully assembled and 100% of fans are tested for proper operation before shipping.
“XFS” Exhaust Fans:
These models have a rugged, welded steel box housing with a powder coated finish and aluminum exhaust louvers. The louvers open
automatically when the fan starts up and close when the fan stops.

INSTALLATION
1. Cut and frame the appropriate wall opening according to the “FRAMING” column in the table above.
2. Use proper hardware to mount the fan in the opening with the fan panel directly over a proper load
bearing structure
.
If the fan is not mounted directly on the load bearing structure,
supports must be provided to
transfer
the fan weight to the
load bearing structure.
Secure the fan using the fo
ur provided
mounting holes, one in each corner of the fan.

mmended hardware: Use lag bolts for wooden frames. Or use nuts, bolts and lock washers for steel frames.
3. Seal the gap in between fan and wall opening to protect the structure from weather.
4. Be sure to keep the wire clear of any rotating parts.
5. Tighten all bolts and nuts prior to the startup (as some might have loosened
during shipping).
