Sensors
For detailed specifications, the reader is referred to corresponding Campbell Scientific Instruction Manual for the
HMP45C Temperature and Relative Humidity Probe.
3.3.2 Installation
The HMP45C temperature and relative humidity sensor is installed at 2 meters and 4 meters height on the instrument
tower. It must be housed inside a solar radiation shield while used in the field. Clamp the radiation shield to the
tripod mast as shown in figure 10. Remove the yellow protection cap, place the HMP45C into the radiation shield, and
fix it with the mounting clamp. Keep the yellow protection cap for future shipping and storage.

Attach the HMP45C cable to the wiring panel of the CR10X datalogger according to the wiring diagram in table 1
in paragraph 2.2, and Annex 2, as follows:
HMP45C Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensor (1) at 2 Meters:
- Clear wire to terminal G
- Blue wire to terminal H1
- Yellow wire to terminal L1
- Purple wire to terminal AG
- Black wire to terminal AG
- Orange wire to terminal C1
- Red wire to terminal 12V
HMP45C Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensor (2) at 4 Meters:
- Clear wire to terminal G
- Blue wire to terminal H2
- Yellow wire to terminal L2
- Purple wire to terminal AG
- Black wire to terminal AG
- Orange wire to terminal C2
- Red wire to terminal 12V
