To ensure that the settings have been stored in the modem type the command:
AT&V
The modem will return the following as seen in Figure 12 and should include the
elements just added.

This is a summary of the currently active modem profile and ensures that when power
is cycled to the modem it will have the correct auto-answer, DTR, and flow control
settings. Exit Hyperterminal and save your settings for later.
