One or more
lights will illu-
minate to show
the current bat-
tery voltage. When all four lights come
on, the battery is full. When only the
yellow and red lights are on, the bat-
tery voltage level is low and should be
charged. When only the red light is illu-
minated, the unit should not be oper-
ated and charged immediately.
CHARGING
120 Volt AC Recharging
Instructions
To recharge the battery using the
120 volt AC adapter, follow the
subsequent procedures:
1. Turn all power switches to the off
position and insert the 120V AC
recharging adapter into the
charging input socket.
2. Plug the charger into a 120 volt
electrical outlet.
3. The Red LED will illuminate to show
the unit is being recharged.
4. The recharging time will vary
depending on the battery voltage
and condition but may take up to
48 hours for a severely drained
battery.
Do not
complete-
ly drain the battery or the battery life
will be shortened. Stop using the infla-
tor and recharge immediately once the
red battery indicator light comes on.
5. Do not operate the IB2005 while
charging with 120 Volt AC adapter.
6. The LED charging indicator will turn
green when charging is complete.
Always
use
charger supplied with unit. If needed,
see replacement parts list for suitable
replacement. AC charger must be Class
2 transformer with same specifications.
RECHARGING INSTRUCTIONS FOR
OPTIONAL 12 VOLT DC CORD
Never
start the
car (vehicle) when the 12 volt DC
recharging adapter is plugged into the
12 volt DC power outlet.
NOTE: Charging the battery while the
car engine is not running drains the car
battery and is not recommended. If the
unit is used after the red light comes
on, recharging time could take up to 7
hours.
To recharge the battery using the 12
volt DC cord while driving, follow the
subsequent procedures:
1. Insert the 12 volt DC cord into the
12 volt DC output socket on the
inflator.
2. Insert the other end into the 12 volt
DC power outlet on the vehicle.
Rotate, if needed, to make a good
electrical contact.
3. The inflator should be charged for 5
to 6 hours while driving before the
initial use. After multiple uses, re-
charge the inflator for 3 hours.
4. The charging indicator light will not
automatically come on when
charging.
5. This device can be operated from
the 12 volt DC outlet in the vehicle
as long as the charge light is yellow
or green. It may not recharge while
operating in this mode.
NOTE: Do not use the jumpstarter
while plugged into the 12 volt DC out-
let of the vehicle.
INFLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Do not
leave the
inflator unattended while the unit is
running.
The
universal
adapter must be locked to secure the
inflation accessories. Any misuse could
cause property damage or personal
injury. Use extreme caution when using
inflation accessories.
Turn unit
off to
allow inflator to cool for 10 minutes
after 10 minutes of continuous
operation. If not cooled properly the
inflator will overheat.
Make
sure the
universal adapter touches the core of
tire valve stem.
After the battery is charged, the
inflator is ready for use. If the battery
has not been charged, see sections
120 volt AC CHARGING before
continuing.
