5.3.MIDI
MIDI stands for Musical Instrument Digital Interface and is a system which is used to communicate
between diļ¬erent devices in the audio/visual industry. Many parts of the software can be controlled with
a MIDI controller such as scenes and faders.
MIDI devices are normally connected with a USB cable, or through a USB-MIDI interface with a DIN cable.
Once your device has been connected and the drivers installed, the MIDI device can be selected from the
Preferences window.
The software can also send MIDI to the MIDI input of the MIDI controller. Some MIDI controllers can
interpret this data to switch on internal lights and move motor faders. Be sure to select both the MIDI in
and out devices.
