Measuring Instructions
Screen Door Slides are made up of three parts: the Stop, (sold separately for 12-inch slides), Slide
and Stationary Piece. To measure for your new Screen Door Slide simply measure your old slide
and stationary piece and match to the sizes we offer. Note: Sizes do not have to be exact. All
Camco slides can be trimmed to fit with heavy scissors or other type cutters. Allow for a 1/2"
overlap between the slide and stationary piece.
If your old slide is not available
[Step 1] Measure the Height of the slide opening
There are two standard heights of slide openings, 9 inches high for older rigs (no deadbolt on
main door) and 12 inches high for rigs with deadbolt on main door. This measurement is how
we name our screen door slides (9-Inch or 12-Inch Screen Door Slides).
[Step 2] Measure the Width of the slide opening.
There are two standard sizes of widths. Most are 11-1/2 inches wide. However some newer RVs
have an 8-inch wide slide with the stationary piece either plastic or screen.
If you are replacing both the Slide and Stationary Piece
[Step 3] Measure the Width of the Screen in your Door.
Most RVs have a screen that measures about 24 inches wide. However some rigs have wider
doors and the screen measures about 27 inches wide. This wider door only affects the width of
the stationary piece. The slide size does not change.
If you are replacing the Stop Piece
All Camco 9-inch Screen Door Slides and Slide Sets include the Stop. Your existing 9-inch Stop
will not work with our slide. If you’re replacing a 12-inch high Screen Door Slide, the existing
Stop will probably work with our Slide. If it doesn’t, we offer a Stop to fit exactly with our
12-inch high Slides. It comes with 2-way tape for easy installation. Note: All Stops are mounted
on the screen door frame, not in the slide opening.
