4.9 Remote Inhibit Function
The remote inhibit input on the rear panel can be used to disable the output of the AC source.
This input takes either a low level TTL signal or a contact closure. The mode of operation can be
programmed over the remote control interface using the OUT P:RI:MODE command. See 7004-
981 programming manual for details.
The following modes are supported.
MODE OPERATION
LATCHING A TTL low at the RI input latches the output in the
protection shutdown state, which can only be cleared
by an OUTPut:PROTection:CLEar command or by
manually resetting the output.
LIVE The output state follows the state of the RI input. A TTL
low at the RI input turns the output off; a TTL high
turns the output on. This mode is equivalent to using
the Output On/Off button on the front panel.
Default mode. This mode is active at power up.
OFF The instrument ignores the RI input.
