Dissolved oxygen and other gasses within hydronic systems can cause excessive corrosion and
sediment formation. The Caleffi DISCAL
®
micro-bubble coalescing air separator with high discharge
capacity and unique chamber design, automatically and efficiently rids system gasses. A very robust
design and 100% anti-corrosion components enable DISCAL
®
to provide a long, trouble free life.
Anti-rotation/anti-vibration pinned oat:
Creates space between float and air vent
wall to prevent float hang-up from debris or
variations in separator installation orientation.
Large-diameter chamber:
Slows fluid flow dramatically. Combines with
concentric, sharp-edged mesh design to cause
micro-bubbles to efficiently collect and coalesce.
Highly effective automatic air elimination.
Anti-corrosion coalescing mesh:
Constructed of glass-filled nylon. More
resistant to dissolved oxygen and acidic
fluids than plated metals.
Robust stainless steel oat linkages:
Reliable float alignment even during turbulent
conditions such as filling from bottom.
Corrosion resistant:
All components highly resistant to hydronic
chemical additives or unstable pH fluid.
Optional service check valve:
Allows expansion tank removal without purging
system.
