Installation
The vent is installed in the vertical position, on distribution manifolds in central boiler
application, on riser pipes and generally in parts of the system where a large concentration of
air pockets is to be expected.
Service Instructions
The seal seat operating mechanism is protected by a ne mesh strainer. If dirt, scale, pipe joint
compound or any other for
eign materials
becomes trapped in strainer, it may require cleaning.
Be sure the
pressure has been reduced to zero and the system temperature is below 100ºF
(38ºC) befo
re disassembly for cleaning. Failure to follow these instructions could result in
property damage and/or personal injury. A large O-Ring is tted between the cover and body
and between the venting mechanism and cover.
CAUTION: Corrosion or leakage can cause damage or injury.
Periodically inspect for signs of cor
rosion
or leakage. If corrosion or
leakage
is note, the vent must be replaced. Failure to follow these
instructions could result in property damage and/or personal injury.

air vent if dirt, scale, pipe joint compound or any other foreign materials
