Prorating a Dollar Amount
You just gave notice that you are vacat-
ing your apartment on January 15,
2007. If you are on a month to month
lease and your rent is $500 a month,
what is the prorated rent due on the
15th?

for January:

4. Enter the monthly rent amount:

5. Enter the day you are vacating, then
calculate the number of days from
January 1 to January 15 and prorate
the rent:
