PADMode:
SelectbuttontosetthePADmodeofthemodemasaServerorClient.
ServermodewaitsforinboundTCPconnectionsfromremoteclientorUDPdatabeingsenttotheexternal
modem’sIPaddress.Forexample,servermodecanbeusedformobiletermination
calls.Wheninserver
mode,itispossiblefortheconnectedserialdevicetomakeanoutboundTCPorUDPconnectionwhenanAT
Commandisissued(remoteIPaddress:portnumber,e.g.ATD*166.23.42.10:5000).
ClientmodekeepsanalwaysonTCPconnectiontoaremoteserverorsendsall
UDPtotheIPaddressand
portnumberspecified.Forexample,clientmodecanbeusedformobileoriginationcalls.
Note:ItispossibletooverrideServermodeandmakeanoutgoingclientconnectionusingtheRS232commandset.
atd*xxx.xxx.xxx.xxxWheninservermode,andnoconnectionisactive,

beissuedtoinitiateanoutboundclientconnectiontothespecifiedIPaddressandOutgoingPortparameter.Tohangup
