5.1.6 WRITING/READINGGUARDIANPARAMETERS
Afterallradioparametersaresetup,selecttheOKbuttontostoretheinformationintothePC’smemory.Toload
parametersintotheGUARDIAN,initiateaWriteProgrammableSettingsfromtheEditmenuorselecttheWrite
iconfromtheToolBar.Aftertheprogrammableparametersareloadedintothe
GUARDIAN,savetheparameter
informationusingtheSaveDataAsoptionintheFilepulldownmenu.Thenameandlocationofthefile(*.dat
extension)willappearonthestatusbaratthebottomofthescreen.
TheReadProgrammableSettingscommandwillreadparametersfromthecurrentGUARDIANand
storethe
informationinlocalmemory.Theparameterscanbeviewedand/oreditedwiththeSetupModem/Radio
Parametersscreens.
Note:DataradiorecommendsaReadbedoneanytimeaninitialconnectionismadetotheGUARDIANSetupPort
beforeaccessingtheSetupModem/RadioParametersscreen.Thiswillhelpavoidwritingerroneous
parametersto
theconnectedunit.
