Sharing your songs on SoundCloud
Troubleshooting
If you are having a problem with uploading music to SoundCloud, don’t panic. This section lists
some common problems and how to solve them.
Confirm your SoundCloud account settings
Make sure that your provided the correct e-mail address and password when authenticating SONAR
with your SoundCloud account. If you cannot remember your username or password, you can
request this information to be sent to you by going to http://soundcloud.com.
Modify your anti-virus software settings
If you use an anti-virus software program, make sure it is not blocking uploads.
If you use AVG, go to Settings and disable the Linkscanner, Resident shield, Surf Shield, and
Webshield.
For Kaspersky, Avast, and all other software, try disabling the program entirely for the duration of the
upload.
Check your Internet connection
Make sure your computer has an active Internet connection.
Upload disruptions can be caused by a weak or intermittent Internet connection. If possible, use a
cable connection rather than Wi-Fi, especially when uploading large files. Even a short Wi-Fi
connection time-out can interrupt the upload.
