the vehicle with the dead battery.

Don't

the other

the positive cable
touch
metal.
Connect
it
to
the positive
(+)
terminal
of
the
good
battery.

Now
connect the black
negative
(-)
cable
to
the
good
battery's
negative
(-)
terminal.
