your Cadillac has the Security Package option, you will not be able to
unlock your doors from the trunk.

System (Option)
When you push the door handle button, you’ll get a light around the door
lock cylinder.
You’ll be able to see where to put the door key when it’s dark.
And the lights inside your Cadillac will
go
on. They’ll
go
off when you
start your engine, or when
20
seconds have passed.

If
your Cadillac has this option, you can lock and unlock your doors or
unlock your trunk from
up
to
30
feet

m)
away using the key chain
transmitter supplied with your vehicle.
