Operation and Maintenance
WARNING: This heater is a major electrical
appliance and requires adequate electrical
connections for safe use. Plug the heater directly
into a 240 volt wall or floor receptacle.
Plug the electrical cord into a 240 volt receptacle.
The plug should fit tightly into the receptacle for
a proper electrical connection. Power to the unit
is indicated by illumination of the red light.
How To Operate Your Heater
NOTE: Before operating heater, Heater Inspection
and Assembly Steps 1 through 3 must be completed:
“AUTO” SETTING
1. Choose the HI or “LOW wattage setting as
suggested in the Specifications table (See Above).
2. Set heater to AUTO position.
3. Turn the thermostat knob fully clockwise .
4. When the room reaches your comfort level,
turn the thermostat knob counter clockwise
until you hear a click sound. The heater
will automatically cycle around this preset
temperature.
5. To reduce the room temperature, turn the knob
counter clockwise . To increase the room
temperature, turn the knob clockwise .
NOTE:
The Hot One discharges air with a temperature rise
of 40˚F. In extremely cold circumstances, air emitted
from the heater will not feel hot. This is within
normal operational limits. As the room temperature
rises, the air emitted from the heater will also
increase.
IMPORTANT!
The fan operation will be delayed approximately
20 seconds on startup. This allows the element
to heat before blowing air, thereby eliminating
cold startups. Fan operation will continue for
approximately 90 seconds after elements shut off
to disperse residual heat.
