5.1.5.7. Words 7-8: Number of Sectors per Drive
This eld contains the number of sectors per drive. This double word value is also the rst invalid
address in LBA translation mode.
5.1.5.8. Words 10-19: Drive Serial Numbers
The contents of this eld are right justied and padded with spaces (20h).
5.1.5.9. Word 20: BuerType
This eld denes the buer capability with the 0001h meaning a single ported multi-sector buer
capable of single source data transfers to or from either the host or the drive.
5.1.5.10. Word 21: Buer Size
This eld denes the buer capacity of 1 sector or 512 bytes of SRAM.
5.1.5.11. Word 22: ECC Count
This eld denes the number of ECC bytes used on each sector in the Read and Write Long
commands.
5.1.5.12. Words 23-26: Firmware Revision
This eld denes the number of ECC bytes used on each sector in the Read and Write Long
commands.
5.1.5.13. Words 27-46: Model Number
This eld contains the model number for this product and is left justied and padded with spaces
(20h).
5.1.5.14. Word 47: Read/Write Multiple Sector Count
This eld contains the maximum number of sectors that can be read or written per interrupt using
the Read Multiple or Write Multiple commands.
5.1.5.15. Word 48: Double Word Support
This eld indicates this product will not support double word transfers.
5.1.5.16. Word 49: Capabilities
This eld indicates if this product supports DMA Data transfers and LBA mode. All Cactus
Technologies products support LBA mode. Multiword DMA operation is also supported.
5.1.5.17. Word 51: PIO Data Transfer Cycle Timing Mode
This eld indicated the supported PIO transfer timing for the FlashDrive.
NOTE: For backward compatibility with BIOSs written before Word 64 was dened for advanced
modes, a device reports in Word 51 the highest original PIO mode it can support (i.e., PIO mode 0, 1
or 2).
