Token Ring Detail View
This view provides three color-coded pie charts displaying Token Ring statistical
information. Each statistic is presented as a total amount since the device was initialized
and as a percentage of overall traffic.
To access: Select Detail from the Icon Subviews menu.
Transmitted Beacon
Count
The number of times this interface has transmitted a beacon frame.
Remove Ring Station
Count
The number of times the interface has received a Remove Ring Station MAC
frame request.
Soft Error Count The number of times the interface has detected an immediately recoverable
fatal error.
Isolating Soft Errors
Breakdown
This pie chart displays a breakdown of the following statistics: Line, Burst,
and A/C.
Line The number of frames copied or repeated by a station.
Burst The number of times a station detects the absence of transitions for five
half-bit timers.
A/C The number of times a station has incorrectly set the AC bit.
Non-Isolating Soft
Errors Breakdown
This pie chart displays a breakdown of the following statistics: Lost Frames,
Congestions, Frame Copied, Recoveries, and Token.
Lost Frames The number of times a station has had its TRR timer expire while trying to
transmit.
Congestions The number of times a station recognizes a frame addressed to it, but has no
available buffer space.
Frame Copied The number of times a station recognizes a frame addressed to it, and
detects that the FS field A bit is set to 1.
