Parameters
<host>
Hostname or IP address of the destination
max-ttl <num>
Maximum number of gateways (“hops”) to trace
probes <num>
Number of probes to send
size <num>
Packet size of each probe
source <host>
Hostname or IP address of the source
tos <num>
Type of Service value in the probe packet
wait-time <secs>
Maximum time to wait for a response
verbose
Displays results in verbose mode
noroute
Ignores the routing table and sends a probe to a host on a directly attached network. If
the destination is not on the local network, an error is returned.
Restrictions
None.
Example
To display the route from the SSR to the host othello in verbose mode:
ssr# traceroute othello verbose
