stp set bridging

Purpose

Set STP bridging parameters.

Format

stp set bridging [forward-delay <num>] [hello-time <num>] [max-age <num>]

[priority <num>]

Description

The stp set bridging command lets you configure the following STP parameters:

•Bridging priority

•Hello time

•Maximum age

•Forward delay

Parameters

forward-delay <num>

Sets the STP forward delay for the SSR. The forward delay is measured in seconds.

Specify a number from 4– 30. The default is 15.

hello-time <num>

Sets the STP hello time for the SSR. The hello time is measured in seconds. Specify a

number from 1– 10. The default is 2.

max-age <num>

Sets the STP maximum age for the SSR. Specify a number from 6–40. The default is 20.

priority <num>

Sets the STP bridging priority for the SSR. Specify a number from 0 – 65535. The

default is 32768
