SSR Command Line Interface Reference Manual 777
Chapter 49
save Command
The save command saves the configuration changes you have entered during the current
CLI session. You can save the configuration commands in the scratchpad to the active
configuration, thus activating changes. You then can save the active changes to the Startup
configuration.
Format
save active|startup
Mode
Configure
Note:
If you are in Enable mode, you still can save the active configuration changes to
the Startup configuration file by entering the copy active to startup command.
Description
Saves configuration changes.
If you use the active keyword, uncommitted changes in the scratchpad are activated.
The SSR accumulates configuration commands in the scratchpad until you activate
them or clear them (or reboot). When you activate the changes, the SSR runs the
commands.
If you use the startup keyword, the configuration of the running system is saved in the
Startup configuration file and re-instated by the server the next time you reboot.
