rmon host
Purpose
Configures the RMON 1 Host group.
Format
rmon host index <index-number> port <port> [owner <string>] [status enable|disable]

Description
The RMON 1 Host group captures L2 information from hosts coming in on a particular
port. The rmon host command sets various parameters of the Host group. If default tables
were turned on for the standard group, an entry is created in the Host control table for
each available port.
Use the rmon show hosts command to display the host data and logs.
Parameters
<index-number>
Is a number between 1 and 65535 that uniquely identifies a row in the Host table.
port <port>
Specifies the physical port from which to collect data.
owner <string>
Specifies the owner of the event; for example, an IP address, machine name or
person’s name.
status enable|disable
Enables or disables this host. The default is enable.
