rip set broadcast-state
Purpose
Determines if RIP packets will be broadcast regardless of the number of interfaces present.
This is useful when propagating static routes or routes learned from another protocol into
RIP. In some cases, the use of broadcast when only one network interface is present can
cause data packets to traverse a single network twice.

Description
The rip set broadcast-state command specifies whether the SSR broadcasts RIP packets
regardless of the number of interfaces present.
Parameters
always | choose | never
Specifies whether the SSR broadcasts RIP packets regardless of the number of
interfaces present. Specify one of the following:
always Always sends RIP broadcasts regardless of the number of interfaces present.
choose Sends RIP broadcasts only if more than one interface is configured on the
SSR. This is the default state.
never Never sends RIP broadcasts on attached interfaces.
