ospf add interface

Purpose

Associates an interface with an OSPF area.

Format

ospf add interface <interfacename-or-IPaddr> [to-area <area-addr>|backbone]

[type broadcast|non-broadcast]

Parameters

<interfacename-or-IPaddr>

An interface name or an IP address.

to-area <area-addr>|backbone

OSPF Area with which this interface is to be associated.

type

Specifies whether the interface is broadcast or non-broadcast. Specify one of the

following:

• broadcast (default)

•non-broadcast
