AAL5 Packet Discard VBR
The variable defines the per-port AAL5 packet
discard configuration for nrtVBR connections.
The states are defined in Table 24.

allOn All nrtVBR AAL5
connections have packet
discard performed on them.
allOff AAL5 packet discard is not
performed on any nrtVBR
connections.
svcOn Any nrtVBR SVC that
requests packet discard will
have it performed. For
nrtVBR PVC’s, AAL5 packet
discard is enabled based on
the UPC contract of the
connection.
svcOff AAL5 packet discard is not
performed on any CBR
SVCs. For nrtVBR PVCs,
AAL5 packet discard is
enabled based on the UPC
contract of the connection.

performed on them.
allOff AAL5 packet discard is not
performed on any UBR
connections.
svcOn Any UBR SVC that requests
packet discard will have it
performed. For UBR PVC’s,
AAL5 packet discard is
enabled based on the UPC
contract of the connection.
svcOff AAL5 packet discard is not
performed on any CBR
SVCs. For UBR PVCs, AAL5
packet discard is enabled
based on the UPC contract
of the connection.
