Fore ATM Switch Configuration View
Configuration Views ForeRunner ATM Switch Modules
3-2 Management Module Guide
In general, you access the device configuration views from the model type
icons (ForeSwitchApp, ForeUserApp, etc.) For these views, highlight the model
type icon and select View -> Icon Subviews -> Configuration.
You access port-specific configuration views from the Interface icons within
the Device Interface view. For these views, highlight the Interface icon for the
desired interface and select View -> Icon Subviews -> Configuration.
Fore ATM Switch Configuration View
This configuration view displays the information listed below.
1. The Banner (within the green border area) provides descriptive
information about the model as described in the Operator’s Reference.
2. The four fields below the Banner display the software and hardware
version numbers, the signaling control software identification, and the
ATM address of the device.
3. The buttons are as follows:
Opens the Fore ATM Switch Application Trap Destination Table view,
which displays instructions for setting destinations. For more information
on setting traps, refer to the SPECTRUM Portable Management
Application Tools Guide.
Opens the Fore ATM Switch Alarm Table view, which lists alarm, log, and
trap action information. For more information, refer to the SPECTRUM
Portable Management Application Tools Guide.
Opens the Buffer Table described below.
4. The configuration view tables (Board, Module, and Interface) are the main
focus of the Fore ATM Switch Configuration view. These tables provide
board-level, module-level, and port-level administrative details (such as
names and addresses) and operational information (such as signaling
type, port on/off status, port speed, and datagram size). The configuration
view tables also provide double-click access zones and buttons that are

You can use the mouse button (right or middle) to access the Configuration
views. Click the icon to access the Pop-up Navigator menu and select
Configuration.
