EWA Monitor Application
Observed Object Type
The observed object type. This value plus the Monitor Context and Observed
Port values specify the particular observed object.
Observed Port
If the observed object is related to a card’s port, then this object designates
that port; otherwise this object’s value is notApplicable.
CounterTminusDT
This attribute is used in calculating counter differences for wrap counters. It
contains the value of the counter from the previous observation. This value
must be initialized when the monitor is unlocked.
Derived Gauge
Table 4-4 describes the different states for the Derived Gauge.
Thold Error2
A monitor sends this trap at the time it makes an observation if Estimate of
Mean has passed Thold Error2, while Thold Action2 indicates that this trap
should be sent.
Thold Clear2
A monitor sends this trap at the time it makes an observation if Estimate Of
Mean has passed Thold Clear2, while Thold Action2 indicates that this trap
should be sent.
Thold Action2
Specifies the action or actions to be taken when Estimate Of Mean passes
either Thold Error2 or Thold Clear2.

Monitor Type Observer Object Description
valueMonitor Last Contains the last observed value
of the observed object.
meanMonitor Guage Equal to the last observed value
of the observed object.
meanMonitor Counter The difference between the two
latest successively observed
values of the observed object.
deltaMonitor Counter or Gauge The difference between the two
latest successively observed
values of the observed object.
