Restart the SNMPTrap Service
Any time that the snmptrapd.conf file is changed, the SNMPTrap Service must be restarted.
To restart the snmptrapd:
Windows Solaris, Linux
Go to the Taskbar Notification Area of
your desktop (on the lower right of your
screen, unless you've relocated your
Taskbar).

Locate the Services Manager icon ( )
and right−click it.

Select SNMP Trap > Restart.c.
Navigate to the etc/rc2.d directory.a.
Type the command:
S99NsSnmptrapd stop
b.
Press Enter.c.
Type the command:
S99NsSnmptrapd start
