Known Problems and Limitations
The EtherExpress Flash32 (82596) card may “hard-hang” under heavy load. This is
a hardware problem and cannot be fixed in software. The only way to recover
from this is to reboot the machine.
Performance problems with versions earlier than version E of 82596 EISA cards
containing PLX9032 chips are being looked into.
