Exporting Certiﬁcates

Select ‘Certiﬁcate Management’ ➝ ‘Export Certiﬁcate’. There are three differ-

ent formats in which a certiﬁcate can be exported: PEM, DER, and PKCS12.

To save the certiﬁcate in the PEM or DER format, select the certiﬁcate to ex-

port then select ‘Certiﬁcate Management’ ➝ ‘Export Certiﬁcate’. In the dialog

that appears, choose the location to which to save and enter a name for the

ﬁle. Choose the format: DER or PEM. The certiﬁcate is then saved. When ex-

porting in the PEM format, also specify if the certiﬁcate should be saved on

its own or with keys.

The certiﬁcate can only be exported in PKCS12 format if a key exists for this

certiﬁcate. Proceed as for PEM and DER certiﬁcates. Choose a name for the

certiﬁcate. For the ﬁle format, select PKCS12. Enter the password for the cer-

tiﬁcate then enter an export password. Repeat this for conﬁrmation purposes.

You must enter this password to import the certiﬁcate.
