CS2 Software Characteristics Software Release Notice for 5.0rev1
3-4 CS2 and MMS2
There are three valid values for the log state attribute, which are:
0 = NO_LOGGING
1 = LOG_ALL_CHANGES
2 = LOG_VALUE_CHANGES_ONLY
When Log_State is 0, no logging is done when an unsolicited message is
received. This is important, since the old behavior of logging all INT and
REAL changes no longer occurs. When Log_State is 1, logging is done
every time a CsEpiVerbAttrChng is received for a given attribute. This is
true even if the value of the attribute will not change as a result of
processing the CsEpiVerbAttrChng message. When Log_State is 2, logging
is done only if handling the unsolicited message results in changing the
actual value of the attribute. The default value of Log_State is 0. This
means that any code dependent on logging unsolicited attribute value
changes must ensure that the models it depends on have Log_State set
correctly.
The logging functionality has also been expanded to include changes to
CsAttrDesc::TEXT_STRING and CsAttrDesc::OCTET_STRING types.
2. SPECTRUM 5.0.n client applications will not have Trouble Shooter
capabilities when connecting to 5.2+ SpectroSERVERs.
3. When you install the CS2 vtape and get any of the following errors while
linking the SpectroSERVER, you will need to install MMS2:
