available) that have not been previously documented.

Purpose of CS3 and MMS3
The CS3 and MMS3 software portions of the CD perform the following
functions for SPECTRUM 5.0rev1.
• The CS3 software provides an interim solution to problems and
anomalies associated with SPECTRUM 5.0rev1. It consolidates
previous off-cycle releases (Patches) and provides solutions to
some problems not previously addressed. As a Core Supplement
release, CS3 provides solutions to issues affecting the
SPECTRUM Core, the Core Management Modules, and such
SPECTRUM applications as ArchMgr and Reports. CS3 does not
provide solutions to device management issues associated with the
management modules. Such issues are addressed in the MMS3
software.

• The MMS3 software provides updated SPECTRUM 5.0rev1
management modules. This includes the management modules in
MMS1 and MMS2 plus any additional management modules
updated or produced since the release of MMS2. The MMS3
software is installed after installing CS3. You must install those
management modules that have been previously installed in your
SPECTRUM database and you should install any additional
