Problems Resolved in MMS3
Third Party Management Module Problem Resolutions
MMS3 Software Characteristics Software Release Notice for 5.0rev1
4-12 CS3 and MMS3
SM-FOR1000, ForeRunner ATM Switch Modules
The Inload and OutLoad watches no longer show a status of Failed in
the Watch Editor off of a ForeSwitchApp model type, which had
occurred due to an overflow in the binary operator.
SM-GHOXXXX, Host Devices
On systems with a Host management module, the following message
no longer appears in the VNM.OUT file and Control Panel: failure
to read attribute: 0x1161009.
SM-GHO1005, Host IBM
The following components are no longer missing: the model type
Empire_UnixApp, the model type Empire_ExtApp, and the file
CsVendor/Ctron_Gen_HOST/Host_IBM/AlertMap.
SM-SYN1003, SynOptics 5000 Series
1. You can now clear the yellow alarm and error message "Chassis
has not created all the agent models" that generate if one of the
NMM agents for the HubSyn5xxx device is not modeled.
2. By preventing IP and community name information from rolling
down to the application models, the problem of the HubSyn5xxx,
HubSyn5DNxx, HubBaySt10, and HubBaySt100 model types
inheriting some undesirable functionality from GnSNMPDev has
been eliminated. (These model types do not need their IP and
community name information rolled down from the parent model
type to the application model as is the characteristic of
GnSNMPDev.)
SM-SYN1006, SynOptics 28000 Series
The SpectroGRAPH no longer terminates when accessing the DevTop
view of a SwSyn281xx model. This used to occur if the view was
accessed and SLAM was installed.
SM-SYN1008, SynOptics Stackable Hubs 2700 Series
The Model Name can now be edited in the Model Information view.
