Cabletron Management Module Problem Resolutions
MMS3 Software Characteristics Software Release Notice for 5.0rev1
4-8 CS3 and MMS3
SM-CSI1085, Cabletron ATM - Zeitnet
1. Multiple interfaces are no longer mistakenly created if the
connection is lost to a device supported by SM-CSI1085 (for
example, when the device is rebooted).
2. There are now menu options for Device view and Configuration
view when right-clicking on the Device icon.
3. A Duplicate IP alarm notification now occurs when a second ZX-
250 is modeled with an IP address used by another ZX-250.
4. The .rib files are no longer missing for the ZX-250 Switching
Application and ZX_250 management modules.
5. The Admin Status field in the ATM Switch Application Virtual
Channel Link view is no longer red boxed.
6. The values for Last Change reported in the Virtual Channel Link
view are now the same as those reported in the MIB or in the
previous view.
SM-CSI1091, SmartSwitch Router
All interfaces now show in the DevTop view. The problem was that, if a
SmartSwitch Router device with more than 133 logical and/or physical
interfaces was modeled, only the first 133 would appear in the view.
Now up to 200 logical and physical interfaces can be viewed.
SM-CSI1095, STS 16
1. The device model is now correctly placed in an 802.5 during
AutoDiscovery, and port resolution is correct.
2. Traps now work correctly.
3. A default GIB is no longer used for the Interface Description view.
4. Port resolution is now completed during AutoDiscovery.
5. Trap support is now provided.
SmartSwitch 2000/6000/9000 Management Modules
1. When modeling SmartSwitch 2000, 6000, or 9000 devices having
FDDI HSIMs, bringing up the DevTop view for the FddiMAC
models now works correctly. A “Device not configured” message no
longer displays.
