Problems Resolved in CS3
8. The problem was that the RFC1516 applications and the ones like
it have their own reconfiguration time interval and no event was
being created when the applications were reconfigured. The
CONFIGINTERVAL attribute is set to 60 seconds by default.
Pipes between devices were being lost as a result of these
unmonitored reconfigurations because the configuration interval
of the applications did not match that of the parent device.
The resolution was to add the ability to manually change the
configuration interval attribute through the Configuration view of a
given device or application. Specifically, this can be done with the
Redundancy and Model Reconfiguration options. Now you can set the
configuration interval of the applications to match that of its parent
device.
9. The problem was that models with no network address were being
included in the results of a multi-attribute "Find" for models
despite the given Find criteria. The criteria was for models that
were green and had a certain prefix in their network address.
The resolution was to fix the Find function so that such a multi-
attribute search would not display models with no network address
where particular network addresses were specified.
10. The problem was that LANs or WA_Links were not being created
by AutoDiscovery or through manual device reconfiguration after
Cisco 2500 routers were replaced with Cisco 3640 routers.
The resolution was to correct the code so that LANs or WA_Links will
be successfully created after AutoDiscovery or manual device
reconfiguration of Cisco 3640 routers.
11. The problem was that an ATM_Network model would remain
green even after all the devices it was connected to adopted a
CONTACT LOST status.
The resolution was to enable the ATM_Network model to achieve a
CONTACT LOST status when all the devices it is connected to have
that status.
12. The problem was that when a packed VIB was used to represent
the contents of a map view, any pipe that was drawn to the view
would be lost when the SpectroSERVER was stopped and
restarted.
