CS3 Post-Installation Instructions
Perform the following steps to verify and modify your files, as
necessary.
1. Change directory to <SPECTRUM Home>/app-defaults and
compare the file CsStdMenu with CsStdMenu.ori, which is the
file you saved prior to this installation. Edit CsStdMenu to
restore any customized settings you may have had in
CsStdMenu.ori.
2. Change directory to <SPECTRUM Home>/SG-Tools and
compare the file dtxscript with dtxscript.ori, which is the file
you saved prior to this installation. Edit dtxscript to restore any
customized settings you may have had in dtxscript.ori.
3. Change directory to <SPECTRUM Home>/SS and compare the
file .vnmrc with .vnmrc.ori, which is the file you saved prior to
this installation. Edit .vnmrc to restore any customized settings
you may have had in .vnmrc.ori.
4. If there is no need to install MMS3 (see Note below), bring up the
Control Panel and start the SpectroSERVER and/or
SpectroGRAPH; otherwise, proceed with the installation of
MMS3.
NOTE
In the step below, it is recommended that you reboot your Windows
NT system before starting SPECTRUM 5.0rev1.
NOTE
You need not install any portion of MMS3 if (and only if) your
SPECTRUM 5.0rev1 database does not contain a management
module included in MMS3. This will NOT be the case for most
installations. See Management Modules Included in MMS3, starting
on Page 4-18.
