The resolution was to make the alarm clearable through SPECTRUM

AlarmNotiﬁer. The alarm will generated when the device is modeled

and upon device reconﬁguration.

The problem was a memory leak was found due to the creation of a

HubSyn5xxx. Purify had been installed and a trace was made

available.

The resolution was to remove the memory leaks from the code

pinpointed by the Purify traces.

The SpectroSERVER core dumps on a regular bases after installing

theor the 3Com 3300 devices.

When the interfaces are checked, we read three attributes, two are

internal but one is external. If there is a problem with the external

read it is possible that the CsBuffer being returned is NULL, therefore

any attempt to use it will create a core dump.

The problem is that SpectroSERVER core dumps during device

AutoDiscovery or mapping of LightStream1010 ATM devices. Model

type: LS_1010 ﬁrmware: 11.2(8)wa3(3).

The resolution to this problem was to ﬁnd and then correct a stack

error in the LightStream Management Module code. Also, a memory

leak was found and resolved.

The problem was that SpectroSERVER core dumps during device

AutoDiscovery of ATM switch models associated with the Zeitnet

Management module.

The resolution to this problem was to ﬁnd and then correct the code in

the get_cpu_instance function in the Zeitnet Management Module.

The problem was a sw_link that was attached to a Zeitnet switch was

showing a value of "FAILURE" in it's Performance View statistic

ﬁelds.
